4) Youth Advocate

Lowell Community Health Center hosted Dance 4 Peace since 1995. The goal is to plan, teach, and spread awareness. Every year we discuss about important topics and pick one that is major issue to the community. This year we decided the theme would be dating violence. The youth thought it was a concerning issue and needed to be brought up. Over 1500 people attended the event including youth and adults.

This summer I was part of that big event. I always wanted to work behind the scene and see what exciting things will happen. Instead I had to run errands, check people's microphones, work the curtains, and set the scenes up. It wasn't that great but I still had fun doing it. Overall it was an awesome experience.

3) A Trip To H-Mart

For those of you who haven't went to H-Mart, you are not missing out. H-Mart located on route 3 south near the Burlington Mall is a great store. It has variety of food from mochi ice creams to rice cakes. To the right, it has food stands and dessert shop. To the left, it has giant fruits and mouth-watering Korean's snacks. I recommend trying out kimchi if it is your first time going there. Kimchi  is a traditional fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings. It is often described as spicy or sour. There are no other stores like this.

Some Snacks That I Got YUMMM :D
On this rainy day, my cousin and I decided to go to H-mart. When I arrived there, the first I ordered was kimchi. It took about 20 minutes before it was done. While I was waiting for my order, I went around the store and bought some snacks.I can never get sick and tired of H-Mart. It is one of those things I look forward to every month. The snacks are good and the fresh made food is even better. I mean who doesn't like food, right?
